Velo angekommen

Endlich ist mein Velo angekommen, alles heil.

Heute startet nun die Konferenz fuer die ich ja nach Sydney gereist bin. Es handelt sich um die Weltkonferenz von People to People (http://www.ptpi.org/ oder http://www.ptpe.org). Worum gehts bei People to People - peace through understanding? Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen, man kann beim Reisen und an Konferenzen Leute von der ganzen Welt kennen lernen. Hintergedanke bei der Sache, wenn die Menschen einander besser kennen, Kultur, Politik, Lebensweise und vieles mehr, dann sinkt auch die Gefahr eines Konflikts oder eines Krieges. Ich bin seit 5 Jahren dabei und machte gute Erfahrungen, z.B. als ich auf meiner letzten Asienreise drei Mal bei einer Familie in Japan wohnen konnte. Man ist auch nicht verpflichtet Leute bei sich aufzunehmen, spannend ist es auf jeden Fall. Ich freu mich in den naechsten drei Tagen viele Freunde wieder zu sehen. Jetzt will ich aber nochmal an den Strand, heute an den beruehmten Bondi Beach.

Finaly my bike arrived, everything is ok.

Today starts the conference which for I travelled to Sydney. It's the world conference of People to People (http://www.ptpi.org/ oder http://www.ptpe.org). What's the idea of People to People - peace through understanding? In short, it's about having friends all over the world, you meet them while you are travelling or at conferences. By knowing people better, thier culture, there politics, there way of living and much more, the chance of a conflict or a war is reduced. I'm a member now for five years and had great moments, i.e. when I travelled through Asia and had three homestays with families in Japan. Nobody has to host, but it's fun anyway. I'm lkooking forward to see a lot of friends again in the next three days. Now I want to go to the beach again, today to the famous Bondi Beach.
