Ein komisches Gefuehl nach 6 Jahren wieder in dieser riesigen Stadt zu sein. An einiges kann ich mich noch gut erinnern, wie z.B. die leckere Ananas die es jeder Strassenecke zu kaufen gibt.

Meine Ankunft gestern ist problemlos verlaufen und ich bin mit samt meinem Velo kurz vor ein Uhr nachts bei meiner Unterkunft eingetroffen. Heute bin ich dann durch die Strassen von Bangkok gewandert und mit einem Mopedtaxi gefahren (ganz schoen halsbrecherisch). Ich hab dann noch Informationenen zum Thema Visum fuer Vietnam gesammelt und bin nun etwas ernuechtert. Ich muss naemlich das genaue Datum meiner Einreise angeben und das faellt mir etwas schwer. Naja, dafuer scheint es mit dem Laos-Visum dafuer umso einfacher zu sein, das gibts an der Grenze fuer 30 Dollar. Bei meinem Rundgang durch die Stadt ist mir aufgefallen wie stark Bangkok mit einem Verkehrsproblem zu kaempfen hat. Ich war davon insofern betroffen, als es an vielen Orten nach Smog riecht. Viele Leute tragen wohl auch deshalb Gesichtsmasken um sich zu schuetzen.

A strange feeling beeing in this huge town again after years. Of some things I still have a vivid memory, i.e. the sweet pinapple which can be bought at every street corner.

My arrival was without problems and I arrived with my bicycle shortly before one a clock at night at the place where I would spend the night. Today I walked through the town and drove with a motorbike-taxi (what was pretty exciting). I collected Information about the visa I need for Vietnam and I'm a bit disapointed. I have to give them the exact date of my arrival and this is not an easy task for me. So what, the Lao-visa seems on the other hand pretty easy to get, at the border for 30 dollars. While I was walking through the city today I noticed how bad the trafficsituation in Bangkok is. It affected me just with the smell of somg I smelled in many places. That might be the reason why many people wear facial masks to protect themselves.
