Back at the base

Freitag, 25. August Sydney - at the base

Nach drei fantastischen Nächten die ich bei meiner Gastfamilie verbracht habe, bin ich jetzt wieder im Backpacker The Base. Das ist aber auch super und ich geniesse es viele Leute zu treffen. Die Weltkonferenz von People to People war heute etwas langweilig. Es gab zwar ein leckers Mittagessen und ich hatte eine nette Tischnachbarin (Jenny aus Taipeh) aber es wurden 1 Million Awards verteilt und das zog sich in die Länge.

Mein Velo hatte noch eine Acht im Hinterrad, das ist jetzt auch wieder im Lot und ich fühle mich startklar um am Montag loszufahren. Hoffentlich noch mit meinem Rad, denn mir ist da heute ein kleines Maleur passiert. Ich fuhr mit dem Velo zum Konferenzhotel und stellte es vorne dran ab. Schloss um den Lampenpfosten gewickelt und losgelaufen. Dann machte ich noch einen Blick zurück, ob ich auch nichts am Velo vergessen hatte (Kilometerzähler, Licht, Tasche...) und was seh ich, ich hab doch tatsächlich das Schloss nur um die Lampe gewickelt, super. Tja, ist ja nochmal gut gegangen.

Jetzt geh ich mit meinen Freunden nach Bondi Beach und wir wollen nochmals Indisch essen und dann tanzen gehen.

Friday, August 25. Sydney - at the base

After three fantastic nights, that I have spent in my hostfamilys house I'm back in the backpacker The base. It's also great and I enjoy it to meet many people here. The People to People Conference was a bit boring today. We had a great lunch and I had a very nice neighbour at the table (Jenny from Taiwan) but they handed out like 1 Million of awards und that seemed not to end for a long time.

The rear wheel of my bike is now how it should be and I feel ready to start on monday. I hope it will still be with my bike because this morning something wired happend to me. I cycled to the conference hotel and and left my bike just in front of it. Lock around the lamppost and of I go. Then I stop again a look back just in case I had forgotten something (light, bag,...) and do I see, I didn't lock my bike, the lock was just around the lamppost, great. This time I was lucky.

Now I go with my friends to Bondi Beach, we go eating indian again, and after that dancing.
