Lopuri

Heute sind Didi und ich von Ayutthaya nach Lopuri gefahren, 69km. Da es viel Gegenwind hatte fuhren wir viel im Windschatten von einander, das hat viel Kraft gespart. Die Strassen hier in Thailand sind in gutem Zustand und wir kommen zuegig voran. Es wird hier in der Mittagszeit noch richtig heiss, deshalb ueberlegen wir uns morgen mal eine Siesta einzulegen. In Lopuri konnten wir weder auf die Bank oder auf die Post noch konnten wir eine Thai-Massage bekommen, heute ist ein Feiertag, der Todestag von Rama VI, da ist alles zu. Eine Sehenswuerdigkeit war aber offen. Bei einer Ruine (Phra Prang Sam Yod) leben ganz viele Affen, hunderte, und man kann sie fuettern - besser als jedes Affenhaus.

Wegen der Flut warnt die Regierung von Thailand jetzt vor den Krokodilen und ich dachte die haette ich nach Australien hinter mir gelassen.

Today Didi and I cycled from Ayutthaya to Lopuri, 69km. Since we had a strong wind blowing in our direction we used the slip stream what saved us a lot of energy. The streets here in Thailand are in a good condition which meens we can cycle pretty fast. At noon it becomes realy hot here and we are thinking about having a siesta tomorrow at this time. In Lopuri we couldnt go to the bank or the postoffice, nor could we get a Thai-massage, today is a official holliday, the day of death of Rama VI, everything is closed. One touristattraction was open. In the area of a ruine (Phra Prang Sam Yod) live lots of apes, hundreds and one can feed them - better than every monkey house.

Because of the floodings the Thai governement warns of crockodiles, and I thought I let those behind me when I left Australia.
