Durch den / Through Myall Lakes National Park

Von Newcastleaus ging es zur Nelson Bay wo ich eine Fähre nach Tea Gardens nahm. Plötzlich tauchten keine 2 Meter vor unserer Fähre 2 Delphine auf die uns dann einige Zeit begleiteten und froehlich aus dem Waser hüpften. Das war toll, ich hab noch nie von so nah wilde Delphine gesehen. Dann hatte es endlich keinen Verkehr mehr, ich radelte durch den Nationalpark und fand mit Banksia Green den perfekten Campingplatz. Super nette Nachbarn die mich gleich zum Nachtessen einluden, den Strand (menschenleer und riesig) gleich vor dem Reissverschluss. Ich ging Baden und machte Qi Gong, das tat gut.

Gestern bin ich dann einen Wanderweg entlang gefahren, um mir so einen grossen Umweg zu erspaaren. Es waren 20 schöne Kilometer (bis auf 3km bei denen ich das Velo durch den Sand schieben musste), und nach einem kleinen Umweg konnte ich noch die tolle Aussicht von Seal Rocks aus geniessen. Wie es sich für den Frühligsanfang gehört hat es am Nachmittag mehrmals geregnet, es war aber mehr erfrischend als lästig.



From Newcastle i rode to Nelson Bay, where I took the ferry to Tea Gardens. Suddenly two dolphins appeared like two meters in front of the ferry they stayed at our side for some time and jumped happily through the water. It was great, I've never seen dolphins so closely in the wild. Finaly there wasn't any traffic anymore, I rode through the National Park and stopped in the perfect campground, Banksia Green. Realy nice nabours who invited me to dinner, the beach (endless and with noone on it) was right in front of my tent. So I went swimming and did some Qi Gong, that felt good.

Yesterday I rode on a hiking path through the National Park instead of making a great detour. It was a nice 20km long ride (except the 3km where I had to push the bike through the sand), and after a short detour I could enjoy the beautiful view from Seal Rocks. How it is usual for the start of spring, I rained a couple of times in the afternoon, but it was rather refreshing than enoying.
