Battambang - Pailin 83.9 km in 5 h 51', 14.3 km/h

Es war eine harte Etappe gestern, die rund 84 km bestanden aus 83 km holpriger Strasse und ich wünschte mir ich hätte diese Reise mit meinem Fully (Fullsuspension) und nicht mit einem Tourenrad unternommen. Bei dieser Gelegnheit muss ich aber ein grosses Lob für mein Rad aussprechen (tds = tour de suisse), es hat mir bisher sehr treue Dienste erwiesen. Ausser der Kette die ich in Cairns gewechselt habe und dem hinteren Ritzel, dass gedreht werden musste hatte ich noch keinen Defekt und keine Panne, nicht mal einen Platten und das nach rund 5500km (kurz auf Holz geklopft). Somit sind meine Chancen bei der Wette ohne Platten nach Hause zu kommen immer noch intakt und ich käme in den Genuss ein asiatisches Nachtessen zu gewinnen.

It was a hard stretch yesterday, the nearly 84 km consisted of 83 km bumpy road and I wished I had made this journey by fully (fullsuspension) and not with a touringbike. At this occasion I want to laud my bike (tds = tour de suisse), so far it renderd me very faithful services. Except for the chain I had to change in Cairns and the rear sprocket that had to be turned, I had no defect and no breakdown, not even a flat tire and this after nearly 5500 km (short knock on wood). My chances of winning the bet of not getting a puncture are still there and I would have the delight to win a asian dinner.
